I want to put the top on my cupboard, is wood glue fine?

Welcome to my website. here you will find in depth information about portable storage closets, storage closets and various other things related to closets.
I have nice counter tops, but one part is just wood. I have the top part that matches the other counters, it is thin and I could cut it with an esacto knife. Can I just glue it to the wood counter with wood glue? Is that sturdy enough for a cupboard?

The best glue for that would be contact cement. You spread a very thin film on each surface, and then let the glue dry completely. When it’s dry, you put the two surfaces together. The bond is very fast and strong, so you won’t be able to reposition it once the two surfaces are in contact. Contractors put paper in between when they match up the pieces… dried contact cement doesn’t stick to paper, only to itself.
probably it depends on what brand wood glue
No, you’ll need to use contact cement available at hardware or lumber store.
You could use a mixture of wood glue and dowels. (Them little pin like pieces of wood, you drill a hole part of the way into each surface, the join them with a dowel.
