Glasses near the fridge
Pots and pans near the stove
Cans in the cabinets furthest away from the cook space (they do not spoil)
Box foods overhead next to the cans
Medium deep drawers for dish clothes
Large drawer for bread and snacks
Narrow drawer for seldom used utensils (grill tools)
Big bowls overhead
medium regular drawer for silverware
Cleaning supplies under the sink
^Decide what you are going to use where. If there is a cabinet and draw by the stove put your pots and pans in the cabinet and your cooking utensils in the draw, glasses and dish’s near the sink. Flatware, in a draw near the dishes. Put your cleaning supplies under the sink unless you plan to put your pots there. Put stuff you don’t use often on the higher shelves. I wish I had your problem, I have very little in the way of cabinets and draws. Good luck, enjoy your new home.
Think ergonomics. You want to take minimal steps when it comes to using the stuff you stored. Keep the stuff you use every day to make a lunch close to each other. You don’t want to go to all four corners to get a plate, glass, silverware, etc. Keep the spices near the stove. Keep the larger sized stuff in the larger storage areas. Keep the seldom used things in the least accessible areas of your storage. Position heavier items in an area where you don’t have to lift them as much or very high. Keep the microwave ware near the microwave. Store the kitchen cleaners under the sink. Think to yourself, where would someone who never set foot in the kitchen likely look for this item when you’re not sure of where to place it. And remember that the locations you choose aren’t set in stone. After being in the kitchen awhile, you may realize some further changes may make better sense.
Have fun sorting things out.
