How do you make storage space in a small bedroom shared by two people?

I share a room with my little sister. She’s nine, and I’m fourteen. It’s a really, really small room (we live in a townhouse) and recently, I’ve gotten tired of how cluttered it gets, and I’ve been trying to organize it. I’ve been making some progress, and trying as hard as I can, but it’s still really cramped.

We use a bunk-bed to save space, share a dresser, a bookshelf which also holds a basket of toys, another thing full of larger stuffed animals, and a small closet, which also holds clothes which don’t fit either of us, but will fit our younger sister when she’s older.

Since we’ve both gotten older since we moved into the room, (I was about 5 or 6, and she moved into the room when she was a little younger than that.) our clothes have gotten bigger, and we’ve both got our own interests. So, the floor gets covered with drawings, doll clothes, and books really, really quickly.

I’ve tried remedying it by putting plastic storage cabinets in the closet, which keep shoes, drawing materials, and my little sister’s enormous collection of pants in place, but there’s still a lot of stuff lying around which needs to be put away neatly, and won’t just wind up spilling out of the overfilled bookshelf we already have.

Well, to put it down simply, what can I do to make the room easier to live in and less cluttered? Preferably not too expensive, our parents are happy to help, but I don’t want to ask them to build a loft, XD. And, don’t say that it’s odd that a girl my age doesn’t have her own room, it’s a small house, and there are six kids in my family!

DIY Ikea storage solution?

I have a cubby hole in our wall that is about 5 feet tall, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet wide. I need a shelving unit with doors to put in there to store baskets of household items that are cluttery. I want it to look like a built-in, if at all possible….with legs, if at all possible. Ikea customer service pretty much blows, unfortunately, so I can’t find a real person there to help me find what I’m looking for. I’ve looked under their kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, but can’t really find something with doors AND shelves.
Does anyone have an affordable suggestion or another place I could look? Thanks.

Where do you store your menstrual cup(s) when you are not using it?

Yes, yes, in the cute adorable drawstring bag it comes with. But do you put the menstrual cup and the drawstring back in a drawer or on a table? Or in your bathroom cabinet?

I want to place mine in my underwear drawer, but I’m scared that if I place it in a closed drawer, the cup would not have enough air to breath, or that the cup odor particles would have not enough space spread out, making my drawer stinky and my cup to remain stinky.Would that happen if I place my cup in a closed drawer?
I notice that when there is odor in my cup after using and washing it, the odor disappears after several hours of leaving it on the bathroom cabinet (it’s opened). Would the odors be able to disappear if I place the cup in a closed drawer?

Another method of storage I’ve thought about is placing them in lined baskets, but I’m scared that dust will cover them. Also, I will be living in a college dorm that has a lot of pests!

I just bought a beautiful set of stone dinnerware and have had them for just one day and already see scratches on them from stacking them in my cupboard. I’ve been looking online for some type of storage rack or something that will prevent them from sitting directly on one another… does anybody have any suggestions or links to websites or stores that sell some type of organizer for this?

I went to this party with my ex Jeremy and he said to go outside I was like “Why?” He said “Because I want to tell you something.”
